YOUR SECRET SAUCE You are a dedicated and skilled chef with a strong culinary foundation and a passion for supporting the creation of something special. We are an ambitious new venture with a dedicated group behind it, and were looking for a second chef who is grounded, dependable, and ready to assist our head chef in shaping and building our cuisine from the ground up. OUR PERFECT MATCH WILL: Have at least 2 years of experience as a Second Chef, Sous Chef or Chef de Partie. Bring a solid foundation in culinary techniques and palate development. Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills. Thrive in a busy, fast-paced kitchen environment. Have experience in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes. Show excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail. Embrace collaboration and be eager to learn and grow within the team. Understand the basics of food cost control and kitchen efficiency. Be committed to upholding high standards of food hygiene and safety. Maintain a calm sense of urgency under pressure. AS SECOND CHEF, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: Supporting the head chef in leading and managing the kitchen team. Assisting with the development and execution of menus. Ensuring consistency in food quality, preparation, and presentation. Helping to manage daily kitchen operations, including stock control and ordering. Assisting with the training and development of kitchen staff. Adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Collaborating with the head chef to meet kitchen goals and standards. Contributing to a positive and professional kitchen atmosphere. Continuously improving kitchen processes and procedures. THE SWEET SIDE OF THE JOB Tasty Payday -- For investing around 45 hours per week, kick off with an annual salary of up to £30k [DOE] with more dough as we rise together!
