Weekends 10.00am-6.00pm and daytime shifts during the school holidays Pay: Pay Rate 1: £15.23, Monday to Friday daysPay Rate 2: £16.28, Saturday and Sunday days and Bank Holiday days.Pay Rate 3: £15.75, Monday to Friday nights.Pay Rate 4: £16.80, Saturday and Sunday days and Bank Holiday nights Driver required? Desirable Using Own Vehicle for work purposes? Yes, on duty and to attend training Preferable Experience: Experience of c omplex medical needs, and supporting a child through waking nights (awake all night), Manual Handling Desirable: Experience working with children with complex medical and physical needs and an interest in therapy Accommodation (while on duty): Wheelchair adapted home Interviews Week Commencing: As and when applications are received, these may be conducted via video calling Start Date: ASAP (subject to satisfactory employment checks) Simon, was born in 2009, he lives with his parents and older brother. He enjoys watching TV, going to the park and playing with sensory toys. Simon has Cerebral Palsy, epilepsy, communication difficulties and is wheelchair dependent. Your role will be to support Simon throughout the night and get him ready for school in the morning. Youll be required to carry out personal care tasks, assisting with transfers, support in all aspects of care including therapy and to assist him in the local community. Two carers are required for each shift to manage his moving and handling needs and monitor his epilepsy. Daytime shifts will consist of supporting his care, therapy, social, emotional and communication needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and motivated person to join a dedicated home care team and develop existing skills and support this very special young man . About You It would be great to receive your application, if you have the following skills/behaviours: Must be able to work with specialist equipment (training will be provided). A Handling Management Plan is available andisdesigned to reduce the risk of handling injuries, but you may be required to bend, kneel, squat, push or pull.
