Cover Supervisor (Full-Time/Part-Time, Temporary) Edgbaston, Birmingham £417 - £500 per week Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience required for this position is experience in a similar position or 5 days in sole charge of a group of children in the last 5 years. The School and Role ABC Teachers is seeking a Day-to-Day Cover Supervisor to support our renowned secondary schools in Edgbaston and surrounding areas. This flexible role is ideal for someone with a passion for working with students and the adaptability to cover a range of subjects on short notice. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in various subject areas and be an integral part of the school’s day-to-day functioning. Most schools have great public transport links and provide on-site parking.  As a Cover Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include: Supervising classes during teacher absences. Ensuring students remain on task and engaged with set work. Managing classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies. Supporting students in a range of subjects at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Requirements The successful Cover Supervisor will have; Experience working with secondary school aged students  Strong communication and classroom management skills. Ability to adapt quickly and maintain a positive learning environment. Flexibility to cover lessons on short notice. Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship) *All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
