Quantity Surveyor Construction

Kasmir Associates are exclusively recruiting for a growing Construction/Building Services business. Due to continued growthy they are looking for a highly experienced Quantity Surveyor The business is an expanding construction services provider, specialising in working at height in the commercial and heavy industry sectors, who currently have four divisions: Reactive & Maintenance, Industrial, Electrical and Scaffolding within their Manchester office. Reporting directly into the Managing Director. Your role will involve: * Assess awarded contracts and negotiation of terms and conditions * Negotiate & award Sub-Contracts * Carry out Profit & Loss assessments of awarded Projects * Produce Cashflows * Dealing with hourly rates and claims * Dealing with disputes and variations * Responsible for JCT & NEC contracts * Dealing with bills of quantities and take offs * Putting together sub-contractor agreements * Liaise with Management on all Projects * Manage and oversee any variations and claims * Carry out interim valuations for payments and submit for invoicing * Final account and PC management * Dealing with month end invoices * Assess Sub-Contract claims * Quantifying jobs * 85% office based. 25% going out on site to assist Skills required: * Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft packages, specifically Excel and MS Projects * Ideally 5 years plus Quantity surveying experience * Construction background is essential * Multi-currency experience - ideal * Understanding of bills of quantities and take offs - essential * Experience with Eque2 or Sage (however not essential) * Good understanding of JCT and NEC contracts – essential * Managing Project timescales What’s on offer: * Free parking * Car allowance * Extensive career progression * Growing holidays in lieu of service * Social, fun place to work (lots of perks)
