Site Electrician

Consortium Professional Recruitment is excited to support a reputable large warehouse and distribution company in Hull in their search for a Site Electrician. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to maintain and improve operational efficiency in a busy environment.
The successful candidate will join a well-established team, working Monday to Friday during day shifts, with the possibility of on-call duties.
Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, service, and repair plant equipment to minimise downtime.
• Perform reactive and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) duties across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Log and report faults, breakdowns, or issues accurately.
• Conduct fault-finding and repairs on equipment and facilities.
• Promote risk assessments to ensure safe working systems are in place.
• Take advantage of training opportunities in specialist plant and equipment.
• Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities for efficiencies and cost-effectiveness.
• Support and conduct regular inspections and testing.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven background in warehouse environments with exposure to mechanical and electrical applications, ideally within temperature-controlled settings.
• Previous experience as a Site Electrician.
• Familiarity with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong commitment to safety management in daily activities.
• Effective team player with good collaboration skills.
• Experience working with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• 17th/18th Edition regulations qualification.
• Previous experience in maintenance planning.
• Proficient with CMMS platforms.
• Ability to interact effectively with contractors and customers.

Salary & Benefits:

• Salary of £38,000 per annum.
• Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, with an early finish on Fridays.
