The role
We are looking for an organised, team oriented, enthusiastic and proactive Paralegal. The paralegal team supports 6 Partners and 4 Lawyers, to process high volume and urgent transactions. You will have previous experience in property and should be looking for a new challenge to develop your legal career.
Responsibilities
- To work as part of the Real Estate Finance team supporting the lawyers; providing legal and administrative support on transactions including:
- Opening new client files and corresponding with other solicitors and our clients
- Conducting compliance and KYC
- Dealing with redemptions and further advances
- Drafting finance documents based upon templates;
- Carrying out property searches and liaising with the Land Registry;
- Completion and post completion administration; to include companies house and Land Registry applications.
- Scheduling Title Deeds and Documents
- Applying for official copy register entries from Land Registry
- To assist with photocopying of documents and binding of documents when required to do so for the office.
- Preparing Lease Reports and other document summaries
Skills and experience
- Previous experience of working within a fast paced Legal/professional services property team is desirable.
- Experience of using practice management system is desirable, and knowledge of Proclaim would be advantageous.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office suite.
- Excellent administration, organisational and prioritisation skills with ability to manage time efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication and team working skills
