Learning Support Assistant Required for an Independent Secondary School in Hammersmith & Fulham Are you passionate about supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential? An Independent Church of England Academy for girls aged 11-18 in the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their inclusive and nurturing school community. This role is essential in providing targeted support to low-attaining students, as well as those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and English as an Additional Language (EAL). As a Learning Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Providing one-on-one and small-group support to students with SEND, EAL, and those who are low attainers, helping them access the curriculum and succeed academically. Working closely with teachers to implement personalised learning strategies, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to excel. Assisting in the development of social, communication, and study skills, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Monitoring and recording student progress, adapting your support approach as needed to meet individual needs. Collaborating with the SEN team, Teachers, and parents to create and maintain effective support plans tailored to each student. The ideal candidate will have: Experience working with students with SEND, EAL, or those who require additional academic support. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
