Senior Engineering Project Manager

We are currently working with a leading Transport Fuel Supplier who are represented across the UK. As a multi-billion pound organisation this is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineering Project Manager to join their business and be a key factor in driving major projects for the upcoming years. Reporting into the Head of Engineering; as a Senior Project Engineering Manager you will help formulate & standardise processes across the projects team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Oil & Gas, Petroleum, Fuels Sector. You will be responsible for leading & delivering projects within a highly regulated environment, ensuring the adherence to industry standards and government regulations. The role will require UK travel and will require the management of capital expenditure (Capex) projects with a budget of up to £10 million +.Role: Senior Engineering Project ManagerSalary: up to £75,000 per annum + car allowance + bonus + benefitsLocation: Scotland (commutable to Aberdeen, Inverness, Central Belt) The Responsibilities for the Senior Engineering Project Manager:Lead and manage complex engineering projects within the Oil & Gas Sector, from conception to commissioning, ensuring on-time delivery and within allocated resources.Develop project plans, including detailed schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Annual CAPEX spend £10m +Oversee and manage the execution of projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, requirements, and standards.Coordinate activities with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and third-party entities, fostering effective collaboration to achieve project objectives.Take ownership of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, implementing and managing Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) processes.Manage and control project costs, continuously monitoring budgets, and implementing corrective measures as required.Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project lifecycle.Utilise effective communication and leadership skills to manage project teams, motivating team members to achieve project milestones.Adhere to the principles of Construction Design and Management (CDM) to ensure the safe execution of construction projects.Requirements for the Senior Engineering Project Manager:Hold a relevant engineering qualification and project management expertiseExperience of using project management models such as Prince2 etc and software such as Microsoft project required.Significant project management experience with ability to manage numerous projects involving stakeholder engagement, budget control, customer outcomes and specified deliverablesExperience of managing engineering projects within the transport fuel / Oil distribution/ EV or other high hazard sectorExperience of multi project delivery within a high-risk profile organisation would be beneficialExperience of HSE management systems and permit to work processes and contractor managementKnowledge and experience of working with CDM 2015 beneficialThis is a great opportunity for a strong Senior Engineering Project Manager with good technical background and a strong commercial acumen to thrive with a multi national business and being a key component in the running of major projects for the upcoming years.Please apply online or contact Sandeep Dhillon for a confidential conversation technical-network.Co.Uk Technical Network recruits Engineers and Managers for the automotive, aerospace, electrical / electronic technology, energy, engineering and manufacturing, with a portfolio of services including advertising search, permanent and contract recruitment services.
