About the Role:

Design is at the core of everything our client does. This internationally acclaimed design studio operates a project management model that places the Project Manager at the heart of every project. As a Project Manager, you will be instrumental in managing and nurturing client relationships while ensuring that the highest standards of design quality are upheld alongside the commercial and financial aspects of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Liaison & Commercial Leadership: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, leading contract negotiations, project setup, and financial management. Ensure that client expectations and contractual obligations are met, safeguarding the design integrity throughout.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with the internal Design and Technical Teams to manage the workflow and programme from conception through to completion, including post-occupancy phases.
  • Resource Management: Strategically allocate resources in partnership with the commercial team. Play a key role in team selection, workload distribution, and individual performance management, ensuring optimal project delivery.
  • Financial Accountability: Oversee and report on project budgets, resource plans, and financial performance. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and manage variations, ensuring the project’s financial health.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Lead project briefings, compile and maintain briefing documents, and ensure seamless communication across all teams. Maintain strong relationships with external partners and internal departments to support project success.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project protocols and quality standards are met. Regularly update senior management on project status and performance.

Key Requirements:

  • Middle East Project Expertise: Proven experience in managing projects within the Middle East, with a strong understanding of the region’s commercial, financial, and project management nuances. Cultural or Hospitality project experience in this region is highly desirable.
  • Architectural Expertise: Extensive experience as a Project/Design Manager with a background in architecture. Familiarity with complex international design projects and high-level client engagements is essential.
  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to strategise commercial responses, negotiate contracts, and manage project finances effectively. Adept at problem-solving and finding innovative solutions to challenges.
  • Collaborative Leader: Strong communication and organisational skills with a collaborative and humble approach. Capable of building long-term relationships and fostering a supportive team environment.
  • Flexible & Adaptable: Experience with various project types and regions. Adaptable to different methods, technologies, and processes.

This is an opportunity to work with some of the most creative minds in the industry, delivering projects that push the boundaries of design. You'll enjoy a competitive salary, a vibrant and flexible working environment, and the chance to contribute to ground-breaking projects that make a global impact.
