Lead Application Engineer

This person will operate across the CattleEye product and the DairyNet product to develop an aligned approach to App development. This will involve building features in the CattleEye product and then implementing them in the DairyNet product. Flexibility and adaptability is essential for this position due to the differences in team locations, programming languages and deployment mechanisms. Responsibilities / Tasks This is a hybrid role, so the individual must be locally based. Responsible for defining, applying and administering company branding and design language. Work with senior leadership team to scope and refine product requirements and to take technical design decisions. From problem statement to delivered solution, including ownership of the team backlog. Works with both internal and external stakeholders to understand problems and to provide solutions Ensures prototypes are delivered in line with Objectives and Key Responsibilities (OKRs) Can operate at all levels of the software stack including APIs, web application, database, and the like, to ensure full software functionality Design, implement and administer code standard within the App team Leads and mentors the App development team Lead development initiatives across the Belfast and Germany sites contributing code to both product suites. Your Profile / Qualifications Degree in Computer Science or related software based discipline. Fluent and experienced in Java, Spring Boot, Angular Experience leading a software team and owning its agile development processes. Significant software and design experience. Strong eye for design.
