ERM is seeking a Managing Consultant for our vibrant London-based Sustainability Strategy & Disclosure team. This role is pivotal in ERM’s work to find solutions to help companies find ways to transition to a sustainable future. The role focuses on leading project delivery, managing client engagements, and overseeing a portfolio of projects, primarily in the Mining & Metals sector, among other industries. The role will be part of an experienced team of consultants focused on supporting clients with their biggest challenges related to sustainability strategy and disclosure in this crucial decade of action. You will be part of a global network of 8,000 experts across the full spectrum of sustainability imperatives. Sustainability is our business. Key SkillsExperience in a sustainability/ESG advisory position with responsibilities for project management, business development and client engagement.Some experience supporting clients to define and implement strategic response to key sustainability/ESG topics, interpreting and applying with key ESG frameworks such as ISSB, CSRD and TPT Climate Transition Planning etc. Experience working with companies in the Mining & Metals sector on sustainability and climate strategy topics is preferred. Ability to partner with colleagues and clients through the business development process from inception to delivery.  Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with clients and partners, understanding opportunities for extending client relationships and participating actively in client development activities. Structured and effective communication that can shape and deliver messages to executive level and facilitate effective client engagements. Excellent analytical, writing, and presentation skills. Excellent team management and delegation skills, including the ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced consulting environment. Passionate about sustainability topics and pragmatic about how our corporate clients (some of the world’s leading companies) can help drive impactful outcomes. Key ResponsibilitiesLead client engagements, acting as the primary contact and project lead.  Provide oversight through the project lifecycle, including scoping, budget, and delivery. Manage and mentor a team of 1-3 consultants on projects, fostering their professional growth and ensuring effective quality delivery. Serve as a liaison between clients, consultants, and Partners, ensuring smooth project progression. Actively contribute to our team culture, embodying our values and supporting company-wide initiatives. ERM Culture We aim to build an inclusive culture by identifying, acquiring, developing and retaining a highly skilled and high performing workforce which reflects the diverse global marketplace in which we operate, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religious preference, sexual orientation, physical attributes, educational background. ERM care about our people, their safety and career development as well as their well-being.
