As the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), you will lead our marketing vision and strategy, driving the growth and global presence of our innovative consumer-focused DeFi product. We are looking for a dynamic marketing leader with significant B2C experience, particularly within crypto trading or exchange environments, who can leverage their expertise to scale our brand and user base. A background leading growth at top-tier exchanges or consumer crypto platforms (e.g., OKX, Jupiter) will be highly beneficial. In this role, you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive strategy that spans user acquisition, KOL management, token marketing, and exciting, high-impact content. You will differentiate us from competitors, position us as a leader in the DeFi space, and work on marketing strategies that make token launches, campaigns, and community growth buzzworthy and engaging. You’ll focus on creating momentum that resonates with everyday traders and crypto enthusiasts. With strong backing from a well-capitalised company, you’ll have the resources and support to achieve ambitious goals and push the boundaries of what’s possible in DeFi marketing. Your First 6 Months Develop and implement a comprehensive B2C-focused marketing strategy that aligns with our business objectives and DeFi product roadmap, emphasising growth in retail trading communities. Lead user acquisition and engagement efforts through data-driven campaigns and token marketing strategies, focusing on trader-friendly content and initiatives. Establish and strengthen our brand identity across multiple channels, with a particular focus on the trading community. Develop a robust content marketing strategy that blends education with excitement—creating webinars, blogs, and video content that attracts users and fosters deep engagement. Manage key opinion leaders (KOLs) and influencers, and form partnerships that elevate the brand's visibility in the trading and broader crypto space. Key Responsibilities Marketing Strategy & Execution : Develop and execute a marketing strategy tailored to B2C user growth in the DeFi and crypto trading space, particularly focusing on token marketing and trading-focused campaigns. Brand Positioning & Campaign Creation : Craft and maintain a consistent, compelling brand identity that resonates with crypto traders and retail users. Lead marketing campaigns that generate excitement, especially around token launches, trading opportunities, and new product features. Audience Analysis & Community Engagement : Identify and target specific user segments, particularly retail traders, crypto enthusiasts, and influencers. Build vibrant, engaged communities that drive both user acquisition and retention. Partnership Development & KOL Management : Cultivate partnerships with influential KOLs, exchanges, and trading platforms, and form strategic alliances that enhance visibility and drive growth. Manage relationships with key influencers to ensure consistent brand advocacy. Token Marketing & Promotions : Develop and lead promotional campaigns around our native token, creating excitement for token launches, airdrops, staking programmes, and other token-related activities. Leverage these strategies to drive user engagement and participation. Content Strategy & Thought Leadership : Create and execute a content strategy that is both accessible and exciting for retail traders. Deliver engaging and educational content in multiple formats—blogs, webinars, videos—that simplifies complex DeFi concepts while fostering enthusiasm. Crisis Management & Reputation Building : Prepare and manage crisis communication plans in the event of security incidents or token-related issues. Manage our reputation across trading communities and ensure a proactive approach to maintaining trust. Data-Driven Marketing : Use analytics tools to track user behaviour, campaign effectiveness, and conversion rates. Optimise marketing efforts based on data insights to increase user retention and lifetime value. Innovation & Trend Monitoring : Stay updated on the latest market trends, particularly within crypto trading and token ecosystems. Adapt marketing strategies to reflect these trends and ensure we remain competitive and innovative. Knowledge & Experience Experience : 10+ years in marketing, with at least 5 years in the crypto or blockchain space. Experience in marketing for crypto exchanges, trading platforms, or consumer-facing crypto products is highly preferred. Crypto Exchange/Trading Experience : A deep understanding of crypto trading dynamics, token economics, and the user behaviours of retail traders. Experience leading growth or marketing for a major exchange (e.g., OKX, Binance, Jupiter) or trading-focused product is ideal. Token Marketing Expertise : Proven experience in executing token launches, staking promotions, and related token marketing campaigns. KOL & Influencer Management : Extensive experience working with crypto influencers, KOLs, and trading community leaders on platforms such as X, YouTube, Telegram, and Discord. Content Creation & Engagement : Expertise in creating high-quality, engaging content that appeals to both retail traders and broader crypto audiences. Familiarity with webinars, blogs, and videos to drive engagement and excitement is essential. Partnership Development : Experience building strategic partnerships within the trading or DeFi space, particularly with influencers, exchanges, and trading communities. Data-Driven Decision-Making : Proficiency in using analytics tools to measure campaign performance and optimise for growth. Crisis Management : Experience in handling communication during crises, particularly around token performance, exchange issues, or market fluctuations.
