Employed Trainee Financial Adviser

Salmon Financial Planning was launched in 2021 by Tammy Salmon as an advisory service for individuals and their families who want to be educated about their money, feel empowered to make good decisions and supported to enact plans that deliver long-term financial health. We believe in making financial advice more accessible and inclusive; we are particularly focused on reducing the gender advice gap.

We are passionate about helping people make wise money decisions, having seen first-hand the impact good and bad financial advice can have on wellbeing.

Tammy's experiences as a wife, mum of two, Financial Adviser and business owner allow her to help others make informed, relatable decisions across protection, saving, investment planning, inheritance tax solutions and retirement planning.

We believe whole-heartedly that financial health influences so much of our overall wellbeing, so I always encourage both partners in a relationship, personal or business, to attend all meetings and have an equal say in the financial plan.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Financial Advisor at Salmon Financial Planning.

As a Financial Advisor, you will be responsible for providing bespoke and expert financial advice to clients, understand their financial situations, and developing personalised financial plans aligned to their individual goals.

You will help your clients understand their options, make knowledge-led decisions about next steps and be available to review those plans via an on-going, trusted relationship.

If you are part-qualified (Level 4 Diploma in Financial Advice) additional support:

• Industry-leading training and financial support for qualifications via the St James's Place Academy for new, trainee advisers
• Financial support during the training period (for trainees attending the St James's Place Academy)

This role is located at the Bishop's Stortford office, with flexibility for some remote work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Financial Advisor or
• Financial Services experience in related roles ie. paraplanner, wealth consultants, private banking looking to move into advising
• Strong knowledge of financial products, investment strategies, and financial planning
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyse complex financial information and provide accurate recommendations
• Proficiency in financial software and tools
• Certification - Level 4 Diploma (CII, LIBF, CISI etc) is preferred or part qualified
