IT Procurement Manager - Contract - Energy Outside IR35 Rate £500 - £550 per day 6 months rolling Remote based role Must have experience in specifically IT contracts management

The IT Procurement & Supply Chain Manager will support our energy client with the ongoing development and management of the Supply Chain Team which is responsible for IT & Projects, 3rd Party Goods and Services within the relevant Supply Chain policy guidelines. This includes team leadership as requested, as well as hands on responsibility for procurement, contract management and strategic supplier management throughout the life cycle of the key contracts. The IT Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for supporting the team in developing Supply Chain strategy to meet the IT & Projects business needs and providing any Contract/Supplier management activity for all Contracts and Suppliers within remit.

This will require the IT Procurement & Supply Chain Manager will be closely working with the relevant stakeholders, other Supply Chain colleagues and Group Procurement to drive the most appropriate Supply Chain Strategy and to ensure that Suppliers deliver to their contractual obligations throughout the contract duration and at the most appropriate cost and in line with Supply Chain Policy. The role will require a balance of strong leadership and communication skills, the successful individual will be expected to be key point of contact for senior stakeholders.

The IT Supply Chain Manager will be also expected to lead Supplier Relationship Management engagements and be an escalation point to team on compliance matters, whilst working with the wider Supply Chain function to implement departmental change. It is expected that the Senior Manager will act as a subject matter expert in Supply Chain matters for their Team and a knowledge of Software, Cloud Computing, Hardware and project management would be of advantage.

IT Procurement & Supply Chain Manager - Principal Accountabilities • As part of the team management duties, ensure that the team carries out the procurement and contract management activities in a timely and effective manner; • Provide commercial thought leadership and guidance to business stakeholders and wider Supply Chain Team and ensure your team deliver optimal commercial and contractual solutions; • Engage with the relevant stakeholders to understand the business strategy for the area of the business you are responsible for; • Work with the business either via team or directly to determine the likely volume / spend profile for the categories under your control to provide a baseline cost profile for relevant spend via the agreed mechanisms; • Ensure that the Supply Chain financial planning controls are kept current by undertaking a review at periodic intervals with the business ensuring that commitments are managed in an appropriate manner and the outcomes updated into the relevant information systems; • Undertake and review supplier market analyses for the categories under your control to ensure that the risk to the client is identified and managed to acceptable levels. Also ensure that the supplier base is fully understood and that appropriate relationships are developed with our key suppliers to maximize the benefits of our relationships; • To be responsible for the performance of the Supply Chain processes in your business area, and in particular the Acquire Goods and Services activity;

IT Procurement & Supply Chain Manager - Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Proven track record of leading and inspiring team to drive performance and deliver business objectives; • Project management experience in running complex tenders and/or supporting business change activities in order to deliver business objectives; • Demonstrated success in the development and delivery of successful Supply Chain strategies and implementing the right contractual arrangements; • Experience of forming, negotiating and maintaining strategic commercial relationships; • Demonstrated ability to bring together Supply Chain and Business teams; • Intellectually rigorous, a strategic thinker • Strong Procurement, Contract Management and Supplier Management and process skills; • Strong leadership ability with a collaborative style; • Strong influencing skills, ability to challenge management without alienating them;
