About the Role We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager to oversee the continuous monitoring and production support of live systems. This role involves resolving customer bugs and requests and implementing enhancements for existing live products. The Engineering Manager will lead a team of SREs and Software Engineers who handle development support, bug fixes, small enhancements, and customer requests for existing, live, and legacy products. This position is responsible for monitoring, proactive management, escalation, and resolution of issues related to these products. The role emphasizes proactive support, continuous monitoring, and improvement, with a focus on reducing response times for customer incidents and software bugs Responsibilities Leading and mentoring a team of software and SRE engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations. Overseeing the smooth operation and availability of live systems, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt resolution of incidents. Leading the incident management process, including identification, troubleshooting, resolution, and post-incident analysis. Managing the intake, prioritization, and resolution of customer-reported bugs and requests. Working closely with the product, development, and customer success teams to ensure timely and effective responses to customer issues. Designing, implementing, and maintaining monitoring tools and processes to ensure continuous tracking of system performance, availability, and security. Providing regular reports on system performance, incident metrics, and customer issue resolution to senior management. Requirements Demonstrate experience managing and supporting live systems in a production environment. Demonstrate in programming languages and technologies relevant to the supported products. (Java, .Net/C#, JS, SQL, React) Proven experience managing and supporting live systems in a production environment. Strong understanding of incident management, monitoring tools, and automation processes. Demonstrate understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and practices. Demonstrate experience working with multiple cloud platforms ( AWS, Azure) as well as DevOps practices including CICD Pipelines as well as containerization and orchestration ( Kubernetes, Docker) Have experience working with multiple monitoring tools such as Datadog, Splunk Familiarity with automation tools and scripting skills such as Python / JS Work in a way that works for you We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
