The Role
This is a unique opportunity to work on a broad spectrum of complex and high-value M&A transactions, including public and private mergers, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, and restructurings. You will be instrumental in providing strategic legal advice to a diverse client base, encompassing both domestic and international corporations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in all stages of the transaction lifecycle, from initial client engagement to deal completion. This will involve drafting and negotiating complex legal documentation, conducting due diligence, managing transaction processes, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
The Candidate
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- A strong academic background and a minimum of 4-8 years' post-qualification experience in corporate M&A at a leading law firm.
- A deep understanding of UK corporate law and M&A regulations.
- Proven experience in handling complex M&A transactions, including public takeovers and schemes of arrangement.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
