Title: Senior Wayfinding DesignerJob Type: Contract (12-month maternity cover with potential to go perm)Job Hours: Full timeLocation: Hybrid (2 days in-office) Salary range: £50k - £60kThe speed read:A people centred design agency is looking for a Senior Wayfinding Designer to join their team for a maternity cover. The facts:You’ve found your niche in wayfinding design and have a portfolio full of projects that showcase this. You will likely have worked with organisations such as museums and galleries, services such as train stations, airports, schemes for residential developments or office signage systems or any other environments where people need to find their way around. You’re passionate about people, access, and inclusion - you design with everyone in mind. But your skills don’t stop at design, you’re great at understanding the scope of a project, planning it (including budgeting), strategizing, managing clients, and overseeing the work in the studio. You’ll be a proven leader in this sector and will enjoy managing a team to produce great work. You’ll be:Producing, supervising and delivering design systems, guidelines, drawings, and specifications at the conceptual, tender and construction stages.Working with the marketing team to create marketing collateral, assets and content to promote the agency’s wayfinding work.Involved in the generation of bids and tender documents.Joining a friendly, professional and committed team. The role is hybrid with 2 days in a London studo.You’ll have:A passion for creating design systems.Great communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.A great understanding of materiality. 10+ of experience, mostly within wayfinding.
