Job Summary: The Director of Business Development and Sales will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive revenue growth and expand market presence through mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in M&A transactions and a strong network within the industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development: Develop and implement business development strategies to identify and pursue new M&A opportunities that align with the company's growth objectives.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify potential targets and assess market trends.
  • Deal Sourcing: Source and evaluate potential acquisition targets, strategic partnerships, and joint ventures. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investment bankers, private equity firms, and industry contacts.
  • Negotiation and Execution: Lead negotiations and manage the due diligence process for M&A transactions. Work closely with legal, financial, and operational teams to ensure successful deal execution.
  • Sales Leadership: Oversee the sales team to achieve revenue targets and drive sales performance. Develop sales strategies that complement M&A activities and enhance overall business growth.
  • Integration Management: Develop and oversee integration plans for acquired businesses to ensure smooth transitions and realisation of synergies.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development and M&A activities, including progress, challenges, and outcomes.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of [10-15] years of experience in business development, sales, and M&A, with a proven track record of successful transactions and strategic initiatives.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and strategic planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to build and maintain relationships.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of M&A processes, valuation techniques, and industry trends. Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and drive results.
