seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 contractor for an exciting water infrastructure project based in London. This role offers hybrid working and will focus on clean water, dirty water, and water treatment systems, providing you with the opportunity to contribute to crucial public health and environmental improvements. As a part of the UK's largest civil engineering and infrastructure specialist, you'll work with an industry leader known for its expertise across water, transport, energy, and the built environment.
Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor
Provide accurate and timely cost estimates and financial reporting throughout project phases
Manage contract administration, including subcontractor agreements, variations, and payments
Work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure budget alignment and cost efficiency
Conduct risk analysis and value engineering to optimize project spending
Monitor and update cost reports, maintaining detailed records of project costs and expenditures
Engage with suppliers and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms and rates
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in water infrastructure or civil engineering projects
Strong financial acumen and proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid setting
Understanding of water industry construction methods and materials is advantageous
Degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field
