Key Responsibilities:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in:
- Conducting regular site visits and collaborating closely with the production team.
- Preparing and reviewing tenders, while assisting in understanding client requirements for value engineering.
- Providing clients with early cost advice on variations and ensuring authorisation procedures are followed.
- Offering technical advice on project documentation and ensuring compliance across the board.
- Overseeing all commercial aspects of assigned projects to maximise value, working closely with Finance and Procurement teams.
- Ensuring timely and accurate completion of all commercial accountabilities.
- Identifying potential debt risks and negotiating resolutions with third parties.
- Forecasting monthly and annual profit figures to maintain project viability.
- Supporting the safety efforts on-site and working with the safety team to uphold safety policies.
What They’re Looking For:
- HNC Level 4 Qualification in Construction/Building or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying.
- Proficient computer skills, especially in Word and Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building relationships.
- High organisational skills with the ability to identify and solve problems proactively.
- A genuine passion for the industry and a commitment to hard work.
