Position: Housing Management Officer Salary: £24,500 per year Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Contract: Permanent Location: Exeter Additional Information: * On-call duties (1 in every 4 weeks), £100/week when on-call The Role: As a Housing Management Officer, you will play a key role in managing properties, ensuring that vacancies are filled, rent arrears are addressed, and residents receive the support they need. You will collaborate with the Devon & Cornwall Supported Housing Service to promote positive financial management and independence for clients, and ensure the effective management of properties. Key Responsibilities: * Proactively manage voids, promoting vacancies across Julian House properties * Assess potential residents and ensure proper rent arrears actions are taken, supporting SMART payment plans * Support clients with daily living activities, helping them build the skills needed for long-term independence * Conduct home visits to residents to prevent eviction, and establish financial management plans when necessary * Report repairs and maintenance issues and help maintain high-quality living conditions for clients Qualifications / Requirements: * Valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle (business insurance required) * Experience working with clients with complex needs, putting them at the centre of your work * Ability to work within organizational policies, including Equal Opportunities policies * Experience working in a social or health care setting If you are passionate about making a difference and are excited by the opportunity to support people in achieving independence, we would love to hear from you
