The Role:
A Server Build Engineer (Infrastructure build engineer) is required for an Operating System upgrade (Windows Server 2012 to Windows Server 2019/2022 TBA) on a secure enterprise infrastructure. The Server Build Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of both high- and low-level design documents as well as the implementation Windows Server builds and the provisioning mechanism.
Develop deployment strategy for multiple Windows Server builds Design of automated builds Experience of MECM/SCCM Design and implement a HyperV infrastructure including automated provisioning of VMs Experience with VSphere and ESX is useful Design and implement a Microsoft Certificate Authority Solution Develop Windows Server firewall configurations Integration of packaged applications into the server provisioning Knowledge of CESG guidance, DISA STIGs and implementation of security profiles to meet these requirements Produce Group Policy Objects and PowerShell scripts to implement the above
