KiddyKare are seeking a passionate Team Leader for a well-established in Reading. The nursery is open 51 weeks of the year Working 37.5 hours per week between 7:30 6pm with a salary of £27,500 to £29,000 Benefits for a Team Leader: Flexible working opportunities and a strong emphasis on your work, life balance Annual leave 27 days for new starters, plus bank holidays. Excellent learning and development opportunities Salary sacrifice scheme for a new car Generous maternity, paternity and adoption leave for eligible staff Advanced IT enablement and support Support with CPD Main duties of a Team Leader: Maintain the standards of care and learning opportunities for the children supporting the Early Years Foundation Stage To assist the Manager/Deputy Manager with the development and administration of the nursery, and accepting responsibility for this role in the absence of managers To ensure that the highest Health and Safety standards, OFSTED regulations and Organisation policies and procedures are maintained within the nursery To accept full day to day responsibility for the efficient running of a specific room, ensuring that all of the children's needs are met, escalate concerns identified and communicated to the Nursery Manager/Deputy. To open and close the nursery Ensure that the standards of care and education are appropriate for their room and are in line with OFSTED requirements at all times, i.e. Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) The ideal Team Leader candidate will have: NVQ 3 in childcare or equivalent qualification An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage As stated in the EYFS, a good standard of written and spoken English. Also able to read and understand English such as to follow instructions or interpret a policy In depth knowledge of safeguarding children and child protection and appropriate protocol Evidence of ongoing professional development including childcare specific training TPBN1_UKTJ
