Class 1 Driver

Pro-Drive, a leading staffing and recruiting agency in the UK, is seeking experienced Class 1 Drivers to join their team. As a Class 1 Driver at Pro-Drive, you will have the opportunity to showcase your exceptional skills and contribute to the smooth operations of various organizations. Responsibilities Safely transport goods/products to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations Perform vehicle inspections before and after each trip, reporting any mechanical issues Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, optimizing time and resources Load and unload cargo properly, ensuring it is secure and undamaged during transit Communicate with clients, suppliers, and team members to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise Document and maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times Adhere to Pro-Drive's safety guidelines and procedures to ensure the well-being of yourself and others on the road Requirements Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record Proven experience as a professional Class 1 Driver, preferably in a similar industry Strong knowledge of road safety rules and regulations Ability to handle various types of cargo Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with GPS systems Exceptional communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and follow instructions, while also being a strong team player Physical stamina to handle the demands of long drives and manual labour associated with loading/unloading cargo Flexibility to work irregular schedules, including weekends and holidays Basic computer skills for documenting deliveries and maintaining records We currently have both day and night shifts available.
