Credit Control Finance Assistant

Four Marketing Group was founded over 20 years ago and consists of a number of businesses, with the mainstay of its work in wholesale sales, agency representation and distribution. Companies include global lingerie brand Agent Provocateur, luxury outerwear brand Arctic Army, wholesale distributor Four Marketing and our PR and Marketing agency, Present Agency.Purpose of the post: The Credit Controller is an integral part of the busy Finance Team. With shared responsibility for credit control tasks and all bank postings across the group.Main Duties and Responsibilities: Banking and bank reconciliation:Ensure banking entries across the group are entered into the system on a timely basisPosting of multicurrency bank postingsIntercompany postingsReconcile bank to statement and GL per month end timetableCredit Control:Ownership of the Pretty Green customer ledger plus other group companies, both daily and month end tasksDealing with both national and international multicurrency customersNew customer process – DocuSign, credit safe reports, create customer cardsHave a full understanding of sales ledgerRelease of sales orders for stock-picking/packing and sales order releasing – liaising with Operations/Sales teamProactive approach debt collection Facilitate resolution of customer queries Posting of multicurrency bank postingsCustomer remittance and payment allocationAny other reasonable duties required by the business, as directed by the line managerWhat you'll need:Have at least 12 months in Credit Control and/or accounting function.Proactive approach to resolve and escalate any issues on timely basis (before invoice due date)Possess excellent customer service skills with a confident and positive attitudeExcellent communication skillsExperience using Styleman and Business (Central) Dynamics 365 – will be an advantagePossess good Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUP desirable)Have a hands-on approach and keen attention to detailHave the ability to work well independently and as part of a teamThe successful candidate will enjoy access to a variety of benefits such as:21 days annual leave entitlement + plus Bank holidays each yearGenerous staff discount across a variety of brandsAuto-enrolment into company pension schemeCycle to work schemeCharity time-bank schemeAbility to purchase additional annual leave
