We're looking for a Street Cleaning Supervisor to work for our client. The Street Cleaning Supervisor will plan, manage, and oversee the daily street cleaning operations, ensuring all tasks comply with contract requirements, work schedules, and established procedures.   Job Title: Street Cleaning Supervisor Job Family: Delivery - Highways If that’s you, then you could be exactly what they’re looking for. Full details will be revealed at the interview.   Job Details: Location: BS1 3NU Shift: 06:30 - 14:30, Monday to Friday Rate: £13.12 per hour Requirements: Basic DBS check  Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Plan, manage, and coordinate street cleaning teams to carry out scheduled and reactive cleaning tasks. These include manual and mechanical street cleaning, litter bin emptying, fly-tipping removal, graffiti and flyposting removal, and litter bin installation. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all cleaning activities adhere to safe operating procedures, high technical standards, and the company’s core values. Conduct regular safety checks for vehicles, equipment, and tools, ensuring records are maintained and any issues are promptly addressed. Team Management: Supervise and manage street cleaning staff, following company policies and procedures. Support employee development through training and coaching, while ensuring performance meets required standards. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate paper and electronic records, such as staff attendance, equipment checks, and work completion reports. Provide regular updates to senior managers and relevant stakeholders. Communication: Liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders including Amey employees, sub-contractors, community representatives, elected officials, and the general public. Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding the well-being of team members and the public. Attend safety briefings and implement relevant procedures across teams. Additional Duties: This role may include other tasks as required by the company to support street cleaning operations.Role-Specific Responsibilities: To be determined based on evolving needs of the service.   Qualifications: NVQ or equivalent in a relevant field is desirable. A valid driver’s license.  Skills: Strong organizational and planning capabilities. Commercial awareness. Proficient in IT systems and software. Effective problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and teams effectively.  Experience: Proven experience managing street cleaning services or similar operational roles. Experience leading and managing teams.  Technical Competencies: Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation.
