Job Title: Cost Manager - Additional Works Team Location: SE1, London Pay Rate: £250 - £270 per day (CIS) Job Description: Our client is seeking an experienced Cost Manager to join our Additional Works Team based in SE1, London. This role focuses on delivering a variety of minor works, including remedial repairs, asset replacements, and Capex projects for our high-profile client. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of each project, from inception to client payment, while ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Key Responsibilities: * Full Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the cost management process from project inception through to client payment, ensuring that all financials are tracked and managed effectively. * Commercial Processes: Manage commercial processes related to additional works, ensuring adherence to contract terms and financial goals. * Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. * Team Leadership: Manage and lead a small team, ensuring the delivery of projects in coordination with the Operations team. * Financial Reporting: Provide accurate financial data and reporting to support internal decision-making and meet reporting deadlines. * Excel Proficiency: Use Excel (including advanced functions such as V Lookups) to manage financial data, project costs, and performance metrics. * Site Visits: Travel to various sites within Central London as required, ensuring hands-on involvement and project monitoring. Key Skills & Experience: * Strong understanding of commercial processes and project financial management. * High proficiency in Excel, particularly in functions like V Lookups. * Inquisitive and analytical mindset, with a strong attention to detail. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels. * Experience managing minor works projects, including remedial repairs, asset replacement, and Capex projects. * Proven experience in leading teams and collaborating closely with Operations to ensure project success. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet specific reporting deadlines. * Previous experience in the construction or infrastructure sectors is a plus.
