Gray & Adams (Ireland) Ltd is seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to join its Newtownabbey team. We are looking for an inspirational leader with a proven track record in performance delivery and team development. The Production Manager will be responsible for executing the Gray & Adams (Ireland) Ltd production plan, ensuring products meet our high-quality standards while being delivered in a safe and timely manner. Key Job Requirements as Production Manager: Production Planning: Deliver the production plan by organising daily workloads and labour requirements. Liaise with other departments and report any anticipated shortages to the General Manager. Workforce Management: Forecast workforce needs to ensure efficient operations, including managing overtime. Health & Safety: Ensure the production team works safely and adheres to all company health and safety policies. Identify, report, and mitigate health and safety issues within the department. Conduct risk assessments and lead by example with PPE adherence. Quality Control: Ensure product meets predetermined quality standards. Conduct quality inspections, report issues to the General Manager and propose and implement solutions. Time Management: Maintain accurate records of work tasks to ensure maximum efficiency. Team Development: Identify training needs and deliver necessary training to the production staff. Provide mentoring, motivate, and encourage the team to reach their full potential. Policy Adherence: Ensure the production team is aware of and adheres to all relevant company policies and procedures. Monitor compliance and resolve issues consistently in line with company policy, including absence management and timekeeping. Recruitment: Manage the recruitment of production team staff for approved vacancies. Warranty Management: Investigate repeat defects from Corrective Action reports, analyse issues, and propose solutions. Reporting: Produce weekly reports for the General Manager and Senior Management. Additional Duties: Undertake other duties as required by management.
