up to £17.00 p/h Job Overview: We are seeking a professional and experienced Head Waiter/Waitress to lead our front-of-house team. The Head Waiter/Waitress is responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining smooth dining operations. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a supervisory role within a high-volume restaurant environment. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the greeting and seating of guests, ensuring smooth and prompt service throughout the dining experience. Ensure that orders are taken accurately and delivered promptly, while maintaining high standards of food presentation and service. Lead by example, providing hands-on support during busy periods, including taking orders, serving food, and addressing guest inquiries. Train and mentor waiting staff, providing guidance on service standards, customer interaction, and menu knowledge. Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house. Assist with opening and closing duties, ensuring the dining room is properly prepared before service and cleaned after service. Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable dining area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and monitoring equipment. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Head Waiter/Waitress or in a similar supervisory role in a high-volume restaurant or fine dining establishment. Strong knowledge of food service operations and high-end service standards. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with guests and staff. Ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems in a calm and professional manner. A keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering an outstanding guest experience. Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including wine pairing and dietary considerations, is preferred.
