Join us in making a difference in the lives of our students! About the role: We are currently seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team in Brent, starting ASAP. This is a full-time position and the role involves working closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes, including support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP). Applicants will participate in a two-stage interview process, including a face-to-face interview and a trial day, with early applications encouraged to secure a position before the closing date. Application Requirements: • Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 settings. • SEN Experience: Demonstrated experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with EHCPs. • Subject Knowledge: Strong understanding of core subjects, particularly in English and Mathematics. • Classroom Management: Proven ability to manage and engage students in diverse classroom settings, fostering a positive learning environment. • Professional Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and parents. Key Responsibilities: • Support Learning Activities: Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons to ensure student participation. • Provide Individualised Support: Offer one-on-one help to students, especially those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive classroom environment by managing behavior and promoting respect. • Monitor Progress: Track student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents. • Facilitate Communication: Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff for effective collaboration.
