SEND Teacher for ASD Class - All-Through SEND School (Barking) We are seeking an excitable, energetic, and passionate SEND Teacher to join a well-established all-through SEND school in Barking. The role involves working with a class of 8 students aged 10-12, all with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioral challenges. Some students are non-verbal, while others are high-functioning, requiring a creative and dynamic approach to teaching. Key Responsibilities: Create a lively and nurturing environment that motivates and supports students with diverse needs. Design and deliver engaging, individualized lesson plans in line with each student's EHCP. Manage challenging behaviors with positivity and energy, using effective strategies. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential Previous experience working with children with ASD and behavioral difficulties. High energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to supporting SEND learners.
