Teaching Assistant (SEND)

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant, to work with a school in their Resource Provision division. Here you will work with a supportive and welcoming team at a Primary School in Winsford. Helping to support children with specific types of special educational needs, such as a sensory impairment (visual impairment or hearing impairment) or social, emotional, and mental health needs. To be successful in applying to this role, a candidate will need to show that they have a good understanding of the needs of supporting SEN children and have previous experience working within this role. Good communication skills and a patient temperament are also essential. The desirables: Experience working with SEN children Strong knowledge of primary curriculum Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt strategies to meet the diverse needs of individual students Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, during term time (8.30am - 3.30pm)The essentials: Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Oversea Police Clarence (if necessary) and professional reference checks CV must cover last 10 years of employment and education.
