Job Type – Full-time, Permanent Location – Central Support, Hemel Hempstead, with travel across the UK What we need, in a nutshell: We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure and Cybersecurity Manager to lead and manage the company’s IT infrastructure and cybersecurity operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing networking, data centres, servers, and end-user computing, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure and related technologies. This role includes managing a small team, working closely with key vendors, and handling budget oversight for infrastructure and cybersecurity services. The role reports directly to the IT Director and is based in our HQ in Hemel Hempstead and travel will be required to our parks across the UK based on business needs. We offer flexible working with 3 days per week expected to be spent in the HQ office. Who are we? We are a dynamic and growing company, shaking up the Great British holiday. What you’ll be doing: Lead the management and operation of the company’s IT infrastructure, including networking, data centres, and servers. Oversee and manage the company’s Microsoft Azure environment, including Azure Active Directory, M365, and O365. Manage end-user computing environments, including device management via Intune and associated licensing. Supervise the cybersecurity operations, ensuring proactive threat detection, incident management, and vulnerability management. Provide leadership to the cybersecurity analyst, guiding day-to-day activities and career development. Collaborate with the IT Director to define infrastructure and cybersecurity strategies aligned with the company’s objectives. Engage and manage relationships with key vendors, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and optimising costs. Oversee budgeting for infrastructure and cybersecurity products and services, ensuring cost-efficiency and strategic investment. Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity frameworks and standards, and manage risk assessments, audits, and vulnerability management processes. Technical Requirements: Networking: Strong experience in network management, including LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, and network security protocols. Data Centres & Servers: Proven expertise in managing on-premise and cloud-based data centres, server environments, and virtualization. Microsoft Azure: Extensive experience managing Azure environments, including Azure Active Directory, identity management, security policies, and disaster recovery. End-User Computing: Experience managing desktop environments, mobile devices, and cloud-based services such as M365, O365, and Intune. Cybersecurity: Expertise in cybersecurity tools and methodologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, SIEM, vulnerability scanning, and incident response. Active Directory: In-depth knowledge of Active Directory management, group policies, and related authentication/authorization technologies. Licensing Management: Strong experience in managing software licensing for Microsoft products (M365, O365, Azure). Vendor Management: Experience in engaging and managing external IT and cybersecurity service providers. Skills and qualities you’ll need: Ability to solve complex infrastructure and cybersecurity challenges, make informed decisions under pressure, and assess risk effectively. Strong ability to engage with and influence senior stakeholders, business teams, and external partners, ensuring alignment of IT infrastructure with business goals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong technical foundation, with the ability to stay current on emerging trends in infrastructure, cybersecurity, and cloud services Ability to lead infrastructure and cybersecurity specific projects and support wider business projects that have infrastructure or cybersecurity requirements. Ability to think creatively to find innovative solutions that improve IT operations, optimize cost efficiency, and enhance security posture. Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor a team while also being a hands-on manager. Qualifications and experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, or similar are highly desirable. At least 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure management, with 2+ years of specific experience in cybersecurity management. Demonstrated experience managing IT budgets and vendor relationships.
