Engineering and Maintenance Manager Location: Speke Hours: 8am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Company Benefits Company/Role Our client, a leading manufacturer of products for the construction industry, is experiencing continued growth and is now seeking an Engineering and Maintenance Manager to oversee the engineering team and manage all aspects of plant installation and maintenance operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the site's equipment and systems, ensuring high levels of reliability and plant availability. Expertise in SCADA manufacturing systems, CAD drawings, troubleshooting, and leadership will be critical to success. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all engineering and maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance of plant machinery. Work closely with the Production Manager to ensure equipment availability supports production targets. Manage and mentor a small team of fitters and maintenance engineers, promoting high standards of workmanship and safety. Develop a deep understanding of SCADA systems and their integration with plant machinery. Lead equipment upgrades, expansions, and process improvement projects from inception to completion. Utilise the company's maintenance system to produce key performance indicator (KPI) reports. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is desired. Proven experience in engineering and maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with SCADA systems and ability to interpret CAD drawings. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate small teams effectively. Extensive experience in design, installation, and project management, particularly in equipment upgrades and process improvements. Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
