The business
I'm partnering with a business at crucial juncture of their growth story. They have cornered a particular category within the outdoor fashion space, and generating strong year on year growth as a result.
The growth has in large part originated from a distinctive design style. What will amaze you is how large they have grown without any significant inhouse marketing set up to accelerate growth.
So if you are a talented and ambitious Head of Marketing who has direct to consumer experience, if I've done my job correctly, you should have your metaphorical tail wagging by now. Imagine building a marketing function and strategic direction, marketing a product that is already a proven winner? What about having the support of leading investors with a track record of building brands in D2C.
The business has the funds, expertise and ambition to help the brand at least double in size over the next few years. The missing piece of the jigsaw could be a brand orientated marketing leader exuding the same ambitious swagger to take it to the next level.
The role
- Build out the brand strategy to generate awareness and activation
- Manage and build on a fairly creative minded marketing team
- Build out CRM programme with the help of agency or inhouse support
- Roll up your sleeves initially, and increasingly transition to a strategic role as you build the marketing programme
You
- MUST have worked for a brand side business in direct to consumer
- MUST have brand strategy experience
- You will either have worked as the number 1, helping a D2C brand scale, or the number 2 ready to step out of the shadows to take the reigns yourself
