We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a 2 form entry primary school located in Edgware. This role involves working with a Year 4 student who has neurological issues, resulting in a developmental delay that requires specialized attention and support. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting the student's integration into the school and ensuring their educational progress. Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support and guidance to the Year 4 student with neurological issues, adapting teaching methods and materials to suit their individual needs.Assist in the integration of the student into the school environment, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to develop and implement personalized learning strategies and programs.Monitor the student's progress, record observations, and maintain accurate records of their achievements and areas for improvement.Foster effective communication with the student, their parents/guardians, and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring regular updates and feedback.Create a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages the student's social and emotional development.Requirements: Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a similar SEN setting is essential.Knowledge and understanding of neurological issues and their impact on learning and development.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs.Relevant qualifications related to SEN are desirable but not essential.A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality in an educational setting.Working Hours: Half-day role, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Start Date: Immediate start.
