This job is on a permanet or long term supply basis Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our thriving Science Department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for chemistry and the ability to inspire and engage students across all key stages, fostering a love for the subject. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, preparing students for examinations, and contributing to the wider school community. Key Responsibilities: * Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging chemistry lessons to students up to KS4 * Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic development. * Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations, ensuring a thorough understanding of the curriculum. * Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential. * Participate actively in departmental meetings, curriculum planning, and professional development opportunities. * Contribute to the broader life of the school, including extracurricular activities, school events, and pastoral care. Qualifications and Experience: * A degree in Chemistry or a related field. * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT welome to apply * Experience teaching chemistry at the secondary level, including A-Level. * A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum and assessment requirements. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. * A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.
