Land Safety Consultant
New opportunity available for a Land Safety Consultant to join an industry leading Aerospace and Defence company offering help to our clients to manage their systems safety within the land domain.
- Hybrid role – 2 days a week on-site
- Base locations: Bristol, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham or Aldershot
- £45,000 to £80,000
- Ability to go through SC clearance required
What will the Land Safety Consultant be doing?
We are looking for consultants with a strong background in the Defence market to offer expertise and direction in the delivery safety management projects. An ideal candidate would have experience providing technical analysis of designs and processes to develop safety strategies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Understanding and interpretation of safety and engineering risks.
- Managing safety artefacts including safety management plans, hazard logs and safety case reports at platform or at system level.
- Delivering safety, technical evaluation, and certification artefacts
We need the Land Safety Consultant to have the following…
- Understanding and application of safety standards such as Defence Standard 00-056
- Experience generating Safety Assessment Reports, developing proposals, and providing technical assurance.
- Knowledge and awareness of other Defence safety disciplines (Ordnance, Munitions and Explosives for example).
- Experience of conducting/supporting safety related assessments such as HAZOP, FMECA, ZHA, FTA & ETA.
- Working knowledge of safety regulations including Defence Safety Authority suite.
- Professionally registered at IEng or working towards it.
