About the role: We are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our vibrant team in Harrow starting November 2024. This part-time role involves supporting students with boosters and interventions, working closely with children who may need additional help, including those with special educational needs. This position is available due to a new addition to our team, reflecting our commitment to providing enhanced support to our pupils. The role involves assisting in a well-resourced classroom environment with a low student-teacher ratio, ensuring effective learning and personal development. Candidates will participate in a face-to-face interview and may also be invited to a trial day to showcase their skills. Application Requirements:• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a Key Stage 2 setting, with a proven track record in supporting students with boosters and interventions.• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is preferred.• Strong understanding of primary education subjects, including English and Mathematics.• Experience working with diverse classroom settings, including SEN students and small group interventions.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.• Professional references that demonstrate a commitment to education and positive impact in previous roles are beneficial. Key Responsibilities:• Provide targeted support to Key Stage 2 students through boosters and interventions, focusing on enhancing their understanding in core subjects such as English and Mathematics.• Work closely with students with special educational needs, implementing tailored strategies to support their learning and development, and collaborate with SEN coordinators as needed.• Lead and manage small group sessions to address specific learning needs, helping students to improve their academic skills and confidence.• Support the teacher in maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment, including managing behaviour, assisting with classroom setup, and ensuring the wellbeing of all students.
