Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent position of Field Service EngineerJob Title:Field Service EngineerReporting to:Field Service SupervisorSalary:£27,000 - £28,000Based:From home covering Swindon and surrounding areaOur client is a leading manufacturer of mobile folding furniture, providing versatile and high-quality solutions for events, schools, offices, and other spaces where flexibility and efficient use of space are key. Their products include folding tables, chairs, and other mobile furniture designed for easy storage, transport, and deployment. They are looking for a dedicated and skilled Service Engineer to join their team and support the installation, maintenance, and repair of our innovative furniture solutions.Job summary:To perform as a member of the Field Service Team, to visit customer premises within the designated geographical region but not restricted to. The role is to achieve servicing, repairs, inspections and other reasonable tasks upon request.Key accountabilities:Deliver excellent customer experienceAttend sites as required and in order of the schedule provided, unless agreed with Field Service Supervisor or Customer Experience ManagerCarry out annual servicing of all productsFulfil repairs with stock from vehicleWriting up of repairs or replacement and take images as and when requiredCarry out inspections as requestedLook after and maintain company equipment including vehicle to the required standardsComplete a Kanban form weekly with required parts and if none required this will need to be submitted stating thisReceive stock to your home address which is the address you operate from as per your contractLoad all stock onto your vehicle after deliveryMaintain adequate stock on your vehicle for you to fulfil your role to the required standardManage the balance of maintenance work to ensure it is kept to a minimumMaintain accurate paperwork via laptop including time sheets, job sheets, stock paperworkWork with the scheduling department to deliver an efficient, effective schedule of workCheck schedules and report any ideas to help make the schedule as efficient as possible 2 weeks in advanceWork with the scheduling team to achieve monthly shipment goals as forecastedFollow departmental and company processes and proceduresCover for other team members when requiredWork with service sales and RSMs to identify leadsContribute to building relationships with other areas of the business to support the overall business objectivesExperience required:Experience with the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical or structural products (experience with furniture is a plus).Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools and equipment used for assembling and repairing furniture.Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical or product-related issues quicklyStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitudeAbility to explain technical details to non-technical customers in an easy-to-understand mannerThe role involves manual handling and assembly of furniture, requiring physical strength and staminaStrong attention to detail, especially when assembling products or diagnosing issues.Driving License:A valid drivers license is required, as travel to customer sites is an essential part of the job.Experience in a service engineer or field technician role.Previous experience in furniture manufacturing or installation, maintenance is an advantage.Package and further details:Engineers typically work alone however there is sometimes the need for 2-man jobsNormal travel up to 2 hours to jobs depending on the area(if over 2 hours away then a Premier Inn is provided for the night and meals included)Salary:£27,000 - £28,000Hours :42 hours normally between 7am 6pmOvertime:is paid at time and a halfPetrol Allowance:All fuel is paid/ issued with a fuel card to use at petrol stationsVan providedPackage:20 days holiday plus stats rises to 25 days plus stats after 3 yearsPension scheme:3% employer contribution after 3 monthsJBRP1_UKTJ
