Credit Controller

About the role Our Credit Controller is responsible for managing the credit control processes within an insurance broking environment. The role focuses on ensuring the timely collection of debts from clients, reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records.This position requires a strong understanding of insurance broking accounts and the ability to maintain effective relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders.What you'll get up to: Manage client debt and ensure that all payments are received timely and are allocated appropriately.Clients are proactively contacted in line with company policies and proceduresEnsure records are kept up to date and maintainedBuild and develop relationships with host regular meetings with key stakeholders on current debt levelsProcess of any client return premiumsPrepare and provide regular MI for senior management to reviewAssist in the implementation of processes and proceduresTimely identification of business risksEscalation of unpaid invoices in line with company policies and procedures About you:Previous experience in credit control, preferably in insurance but not essentialAttention to detail particularly to reconciliationsExperience using excel, particularly with VLOOKUP/Pivot TablesStrong written and verbal communication skillsTechnical knowledge particularly with banking and accounting systemsStrong problem solving skills particularly with complex clientsSuperb interpersonal and customer service skills to provide exceptional resultsBuild and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholdersStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.Self-motivated and proactive, with a focus on achieving targets.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
