SEN Early Years Support

Smile Education are currently recruiting for a TA within the West Bromwich area who can support an Early Years Setting two days ever other week to cover staff absence who are completing CPD. This role will continue till the end of the academic year and from the Spring term will go full time as a member of staff will be leaving with the potential of leading to permanent employment. The hours are Wed 9-1 and Thursday 9-3 every other week. The setting have also put in for funding for a particular child who needs 1:1 support this will increase the hour above by a further 15 hours per week. This is still pendig awaiting a decision. The Setting: The setting aims to provide all children with a quality, nurturing and fun education during their early years journey. They also provide the young students with experiences, challenges and create so many happy memories through their positive learning environment and opportunities offered to the children. The setting offers term time only care and can cater for up to 24 children. The promote their core values daily, these are equality, respect, responsibility, co-operation, peace and perseverance. Candidate requirements: Minimum of a level 3 in childcare or Education Recent experience of supporting students in an early years environment Confident assisting children on a 1:1 basis particulary with Austism and ADHD Must be able to provide references covering the past years. Reference must comment on interaction with children and more importantly confirm your work supporting student with additional needs/ EHCP plans. Able to commit to this role on a long term basis.
