Travelfusion is the world's largest travel B2B content aggregator for LCCs (Low Cost Carriers) and FSCs (Full Service Carriers) processing hundreds of millions of daily transactions with tens of thousands of daily flight bookings. We are seeking an experienced Strategy Director who will work closely with the senior leadership to drive the development and execution of key strategies that align with the company’s vision and growth objectives. This individual will analyse market trends, competitive positioning, and business performance to create strategic initiatives that enhance the company’s market position and operational efficiency. The Strategy Director will be responsible for ensuring that strategic plans are actionable and measurable, and that they deliver value across the organization.


Strategic Planning & Analysis

  • Lead the development of long-term and short-term strategic plans that align with the company’s vision and goals.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and benchmarking to identify opportunities and risks in the tech landscape.
  • Work closely with the executive team to assess the company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT analysis).
  • Define strategic initiatives and translate them into actionable plans with clear objectives, timelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Execution of Strategic Initiatives

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Marketing, Sales, Engineering) to ensure seamless execution of strategic plans.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of key initiatives, ensuring that projects are on track to meet objectives.
  • Identify roadblocks or challenges in execution and develop solutions to mitigate risks and ensure successful outcomes.

Market and Competitive Intelligence

  • Stay abreast of technological advancements, industry trends, and competitor movements to inform strategic decision-making.
  • - Provide insights and recommendations on emerging markets, products, or services that the company could capitalize on.
  • - Evaluate and recommend potential business development opportunities, including partnerships, acquisitions, and new ventures.

Business Model Innovation

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to explore new business models, revenue streams, or go-to-market strategies that align with market trends.
  • Continuously assess and refine the company’s business model to ensure long-term growth and sustainability.
  • Evaluate current product offerings and work with product teams to ensure they align with the company’s strategic goals.

Leadership and Team Collaboration

  • Lead and mentor strategy teams or project managers involved in executing strategic projects.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, strategic thinking, and collaboration across the company.
  • Communicate the company’s strategy and vision to internal teams, ensuring alignment and engagement across departments.

Financial and Operational Planning

  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure that strategic initiatives are supported by sound financial planning and budgeting.
  • Analyse financial performance in relation to strategic goals and make adjustments as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements that can drive cost efficiency and productivity.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Communicate strategic priorities and initiatives to internal and external stakeholders, including the executive team, board of directors, and investors.
  • Present strategic recommendations and updates to leadership and other key decision-makers.
  • Ensure that stakeholders are aligned with the company’s strategic vision and goals.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in strategic planning, corporate strategy, or management consulting, ideally within the tech industry.
  • Strong understanding of tech industry dynamics, including emerging technologies, market trends, and competitive strategies.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and turn insights into actionable strategies.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to influence and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and strategic recommendations.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and project management skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)
