Job Overview:
We are working with a global trading house, who are seeking a motivated and adaptable LNG Trading Analyst with a focus on LNG markets, who is interested in a clear career path toward becoming a Junior Trader.
This role offers hands-on experience in supporting a derivatives trading team, business development, and market optimization activities. You will work closely with the current Market Analyst and Trader to build your knowledge and eventually manage your own book.
Key Responsibilities: Support the LNG derivatives trading desk with market analysis, data collection, and reporting. Assist with business development initiatives and market optimization strategies. Collaborate closely with the team to monitor market trends, supply and demand dynamics, and price movements across various energy products. Prepare and present market insights, trade recommendations, and forecasts to senior traders and stakeholders. Gradually develop the skills needed to manage your own book of trades, with a clear pathway to becoming a trader. Engage with different cultures, customers, and stakeholders across global markets, adapting to diverse business environments. Collaborate with the current Market Analyst in daily tasks, learning directly from their experience and working closely as a team.
Qualifications & Requirements: 1-2 years of relevant experience in energy markets, preferably within LNG or other energy products. Strong analytical skills with the ability to process large datasets and derive actionable insights. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy. Interest in and awareness of the global energy landscape and its key drivers. Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to different cultural contexts. Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; knowledge of trading platforms is a plus. Proactive mindset with a keen interest in growing into a trading role.
