Import/Export Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Import/Export Specialist for a manufacturing business based in Bradford. In this role you'll manage the import of raw materials, export of finished goods and cross-trade shipments for all companies in the group. The company has recently received a large investment and is looking for someone who can progress in the role as the business grows. They offer a friendly working environment in a modern, refurbished office. Experience in shipping is essential, either at a freight forwarder or from working for an in-house shipping team. We are looking for someone who can manage carriers, negotiate the best rates and build relationships with customers and suppliers. You'll also have an opportunity to learn the purchasing side and work alongside the supply chain team. Main duties to include: Import and Export goods via Road, Sea and Air Ensure all shipments have the correct documentation Obtain the best prices from carriers Liaise with customers and provide detail around any delays, damaged goods or lost shipments Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate prices where required Keep Excel spreadsheets up to date  We are looking for: Experience in Import and Export Carrier management or experience of working for a freight forwarder Strong negotiation skills Strong Excel skills Excellent attention to detail Excellent communication skills In return you can expect: Salary circa £28k-£32k Annual bonus Free parking Progression opportunities Healthcare Hours: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm Immediate interviews and start available for the right person, apply today and submit your CV
