SEN Teaching Assistant - Immediate Start
Position: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Islington, North London Pay: £95-£105 per day (PAYE) Contract: October 2024 - July 2025 (term-time only) Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 08:30-15:30
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team at one of our partner schools in Islington. This role is perfect for a psychology graduate (or related subject) with a minimum 2:1 degree who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs in a diverse and vibrant community.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Key Requirements: Experience is essential: Candidates must have prior school-based experience working with neurodiverse or SEN students. A strong understanding of strategies to support children with Autism, ADHD, or other additional needs. Proven ability to engage students in their learning and manage behaviour effectively. As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Islington, you will be providing tailored 1:1 or small group support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum in a way that suits their needs.
You’ll work closely with the school’s SENCo to implement education healthcare plans (EHCPs) and support students’ social and emotional development, creating a safe and positive learning environment.
