A Mid Weight Interior Designer job is now available in Clapham, London. The role will see you work on eclectic and colourful interiors for residential projects across the UK. This is an all-round opportunity which requires a strong technical background and the ability to produce technical packs and bespoke joinery. Salary of £33,000 - £38,000 DOE. The practice has a warm and exciting design aesthetic that utilises a wide range of bespoke pieces and antiques to create distinctive residential interiors. They are currently looking for a creative all rounder with a strong technical bias to join their team of 3 on a permanent basis. This role will suit a self-motivated designer looking to be fully involved in projects from concept to completion. Role & Responsibilities - Working across all stages of design, from concept through to completion - Producing technical drawings and tender packages, including joinery detailing - Assisting in the design and detailing of bespoke furniture - FF&E specification, selection, scheduling, and procurement (including sourcing antiques) - Preparing project deliverables; presentations, concept designs, mood boards, and completion presentations - Liaising with suppliers and contractors - Traveling to sites/suppliers/clients as and when required. Required Skills & Experience - 3+ years' of industry experience working on luxury projects in the UK - Degree qualified in interior design, interior architecture or architecture - Proven experience working on all aspects of projects from concept to completion - Client-facing experience and strong communication skills - Confident in reading, reviewing and producing technical drawings packages, including plans, elevations, electrical and lighting design, and bespoke joinery design - Experience in producing comprehensive schedules and detailed specifications for sub-contractors. - FF&E experience including specification, management and procurement is preferred but training can be provided - Extensive supplier knowledge - Good knowledge of antiques would be advantageous - Good financial understanding of project costs and budget awareness - On-site experience with strong site coordination skills - Strong Vectorworks, Photoshop, and InDesign skills - Estimac experience preferred but not essential - Willingness to travel to site in the UK and abroad as necessary.
