Job description We are excited to be offering the post of Playworker to join our fantastic team who will be responsible for overseeing the running of our setting alongside management. The successful candidate should be experienced in all age groups 3 to 12 years of age, dedicated, organised, professional and a team player. The successful candidate will assist our supportive management team to provide a happy and stimulating environment to ensure that all children in the setting receive the highest possible standards of care and education. We are a small family run, very successful business which can offer a more personal and positive environment. As a company we expect employees to: * Provide support to all staff to enable them to maintain and promote positive, professional working relationships with colleagues, parents and carers, and other professionals. * To ensure a happy, safe and stimulating environment is provided whilst meeting the individual needs of every child. * Promote an outstanding standard of quality within the nursery, including practice, environment, and resources to meet all requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage and Safeguarding Welfare Requirements. * To ensure that our thorough planning and observation system is to of highest standards by all staff. * Support the provision childcare practice in relation to special educational needs and inclusion. * Provide leadership and support to all nursery nurses to enable them to establish and maintain professional, positive working relationships with colleagues, parents and carers. * Ensure that all children are kept safe and that all staff are confident to follow safeguarding procedures to the highest standards. * Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures and undertake a shared responsibility for cleanliness and health and safety throughout the nursery. * To assist the Manager, support and promote the development of colleagues and students. Applicants should have: * Strong communication skills * An excellent understanding of child development and the ability to recognise and address any concerns. * Provide breakfast and healthy snacks * Good knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures * Experience of successfully managing the delivery of the EYFS within all areas * Professional, knowledgeable and inspirational in promoting the learning and development of young children * Excellent role model and team leading skills, prioritising tasks effectively * Two references, one from your most recent employer.
