We are looking for a Quality Control Assistant to join our fast paced Manufacturing team on a Permanent basis, working 39hours per week. As a Quality Control Assistant at DFS you willcheck our fabulous products as they go on their journey through the Factory,checking every product matches up to our high standards, and ensuring that every customer experiences the same fantastic quality of product when it arrives with them. You will need to be able to demonstrate high levels of attention to detail, the ability to work in a high volume environment, and pride in the role that you perform. Location: Northern Uph, Doncaster, DN6 7BD Hours: Full Time. 40 hours per week. Shifts: This role will operate on our evening shift - 2pm - 12:20 midnight Monday to Wednesday. What you'll be doing Inspect finished products at various stages of production to ensure they meet DFS's high-quality standards. Conduct thorough visual checks for defects, damages, or inconsistencies in materials, stitching, and overall craftsmanship. Ensure that upholstery, fabric, and frame components are securely assembled and free from faults. Measure and check product dimensions to confirm they match design specifications and quality requirements. Test product functionality (e.g., ensuring mechanisms, zippers, and other moving parts operate smoothly). Work closely with the production team to identify and address any issues with products before they are shipped to customers. Document and report any quality issues or defects found during inspections, ensuring they are tracked and resolved. Provide feedback to relevant departments on common issues or areas for improvement to maintain consistent product quality. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the quality control area, adhering to health and safety guidelines. Follow detailed work instructions, guidelines, and checklists to ensure thorough and accurate inspections. Collaborate with colleaguesto help resolve any quality issues that may arise during production. Ensure that all products leaving the factory meet DFSs customer satisfaction standards for quality and consistency. Participate in training and development opportunities to improve product knowledge and quality control skills. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting ways to enhance quality control processes and reduce defects. The role is for you if...
