Peripatetic Housing Management Coordinator

Cheltenham and Midlands

Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw)

Pay £12.61 to £13.36 per hour (£24,664 to £26,123 per annum)and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management Coordinator to join our team here based across the Midlands area. As our Housing and Property expert, youll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, youll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation! Youll jump into different services depending on where youre needed, so you could be working in a different team and location from one week to the next no two days will be the same!

Typical day as a Peripatetic Housing Management Coordinator

  • Our customer have a range of support needs depending on the type of property they live. This can range from high disability supported properties to low support move on housing management only support properties.
  • Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, youll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.
  • Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
  • Where there is a need, youll also issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court.
  • Getting rooms ready for the next customers who needs our help and for maximum occupancy, youll turn around vacant or void rooms, flats and properties within set timescales.
  • Ensuring we are health and safety compliant and that maintenance standards are met.

You bring

  • Experience in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties
  • Know-how of re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
  • Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to your colleagues
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
  • A can do positive attitude, youre proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.
  • Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners

Our core team are based in Cheltenham, so although we can be visiting services across the Midlands youll have the kit to do so, and youll have the office base when you need it. You can bring your uniqueness, brilliant skills and awesome experience to deliver amazing things for our customers, joining our team, who come from different walks of life and are here to support you as you make yourself at Home!

Job details

  • Flexible working hours (or were open to agreeing a work pattern with you)
  • Working Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00
  • Based at our service in Cheltenham youll spend your time travelling around the properties in our Gloucester and Hereford patch and occasionally supporting your colleagues covering other patches in the Midlands
  • Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,
  • To get from A to B, youll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that well pay your mileage!
  • Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
